We understand that weekend trips can be tricky to plan when you have a four legged friend that can’t be left alone all day. For this reason (and for the sheer bliss of being in the company of adorable dogs), pet friendly cafés are an excellent way to allow your pup to enjoy the day’s activities with you.
The finest choices we have to offer...
CAFÉ COUNTRY – Co. Antrim
Are we being too biased?
Café Country is based in Ballymoney, Co. Antrim, near the lovely coast of Northern Ireland. It is also joined to our only Pet and Country store, so you can have a browse at the fashion and pet products, then take a break with a warm cuppa and pup refreshments. We love the warm and welcoming atmosphere our cafe offers to every customer – it has its own little community and anyone is welcome for a visit! We were even voted Dog Friendly Cafe of the year at the Dog Friendly Awards 2017!
PAWS FOR COFFEE – Hampton Hill, London
This lovely little spot is ideal for those living in the city who want to retreat somewhere cosy and comforting with their pups. Dogs are allowed inside – even invited to sit at the table! There’s plenty of delicious lunch and sweet options for humans, while your dog will have a wide selection of choice on their very own menu. Created by dog mad owners who recognised a gap in the market for a real dog friendly café – where the dogs are family!
METRO DECO, Brighton
A unique and fun little spot, Metro Deco has a vintage/retro theme that oozes 1930’s class, and also welcomes dogs for special events, such as monthly pooch parties! Famous for their tea, they have a selection of flavours as well as a very tempting afternoon tea. You can even buy tea online!
We love the look of Twelve, an artisan style coffee house that (of course) welcomes dogs with open arms. They have a selection of delicious high quality coffees, along with tasty bites for you to enjoy in the company of your pup. We recommend having a nosy at their instagram page for tempting treats and adorable pooches!
THE LONG DOG CAFÉ, Aberdeen
A friendly little hub to relax and socialise in, The Long Dog Café is great for brunching and lunching inside or out. Dogs are welcomed as long as they are accompanied by a ‘well behaved owner’! Inspiration for the café came when the owner’s ‘long dog’, Big Gav, was not allowed inside a café despite the conditions outside being wet and windy. This café has a very positive outcome indeed!
Doing our research on dog friendly cafés has us dying to get out and about and visit as many as we can! Have you any favourites?
